Life Will Get Warmer

Good afternoon, guys! I am currently writing to you from my new living room while the state of GA is under a “state of emergency.” We are expecting to get anywhere from 3-6inches of snow between 4pm and tomorrow morning… If you know anything about Atlanta (think back to winter 2014 when cars were deserted on freeways,etc) we don’t do snow, or winter, for that matter. The really funny thing is this– I grew up in Chicago and got my education in Indiana- two of the coldest places in the country, yet, I move to GA and forget how to handle winter (if that is even what you can call this time of year in this part of the country). Chocolate Dipped Strawberries


Whether you will be spending Valentine’s day with your significant other, best friends or on your own, everybody loves chocolate covered strawberries…so, why wait for someone else to (possibly) give them to you when you can just make them for yourself!? I wish that I could say that I only enjoy these on Valentine’s day, but that would be lying and I am not going to do that to you. The truth is, these are a regular in our house. They are TOO easy, and so delicious & in my mind– a healthy dessert (fruit,ha).

Leftover Juice Pulp Muffins


Hi guys and happy weekend! If you’re anything like me, you hate to waste anything. I am definitely a “may I please have a box for the 3 noodles left on my plate” kinda girl, #leftoversaremybff. Recently R and I invested in a juicer, and I have to tell you…I love absolutely everything about it, well, except for the cleaning (worth it though) and all of the pulp that finds its way to the trash. Apparently, I am not the only “juicer” out there who shares in this frustration because I stumbled upon some really great recipes that use the leftover pulp! Today I am going to share with you a healthy, hearty, left over pulp, muffin recipe! These are perfect and so easy to make. They’re the perfect, healthy and convenient snack to have on hand. They’re hearty enough to have for a midday snack, yet, delicious enough to warm up and have with morning coffee (hellloooo, saturday morning loveliness!). Keep in mind that your muffins will taste differently depending on the ingredients you used for your juice. In my case the pulp consisted of 3 grapefruits, 2 apples, 20 mini carrots, 1 inch of ginger, 4 cups of spinach and 2 cups of kale.
